Overlay in Sony Vegas Pro

Benjamin

I Love YTtalk
So I'm trying to put an overlay rendered in After Effects on top of one of my vids in Vegas Pro. In after effects you can see the overlay with transparent background so I assumed not stumbling upon problems. But if I put the overlay on top of the video in vegas, the overlay shows but the video is gone which makes me think something went wrong with the transparacy of the overlay. Or is there something wrong in Vegas?

Thanks for helping me out! I'll go and continue looking for a solution on Google. :)

Try making a new video track above the video and putting your overlay there.

What do you mean? I know the overlay needs to be above the video track otherwise it doesn't show. The overlay is showing but with a black background hiding the video too. The overlay is not transparant as it should be.

couldn't you for the black background select the composite mode to screen so it removes the black

Doesn't work. I know not much about after effects so I'll figure this out tomorrow. The problem is definitely there and not with Vegas Pro.[DOUBLEPOST=1373066351,1373063124][/DOUBLEPOST]I got the solution. Had to select the clip, go to properties and saw that Alpha mode said: none. Had to change that. :)

Thanks anyway for the answers! You guys are awesome!
