I don't know who told you that. They were 100% wrong.

Congratulations on 1K subs in one day, that's awesome! Just a question - Did you post a new video on that day or the day before that may have influenced additional people to subscribe, or do you think it was random?
 
That is outstanding!!! You've hit a great stride and have been gaining views and subs like crazy! It's so great seeing such success for your channel. It gives me so much hope for the future of my channel.

No new video that day, it was a Saturday and we upload on Thursdays. My theory is that there was some build-up of demand during the week while kids were back in school, so on Saturday more kids than usual hopped on the computer. We also had our all-time high single day of views that day (493,000) so there was definitely a lot of traffic to the channel!
 
Have you considered doing other types of reviews besides Candy?
I'm sure Candy reviews will be awesome for the upcoming Halloween, but here are some other ideas.

Reviews for:
Halloween Costumes
Holiday Projects/Decoration Making (To show kids how to make stuff for various Holidays - Think Easter, Christmas, New Years etc)
Toys (in general)
Device Apps/games

That would be pretty cool and would diversify your channel so you'd have a bigger audience.
