I'm gaining on average 6 subscribers a day, but they're mostly from the PewDiePie video, and never watch me again. Other than that, I'm just stagnating as well. At least for you it's different, because it's a daily vlog which some people follow and others may not. It's still unfortunate, but different. With my rants, I try and argue a point, and look for feedback and criticism. If I cannot get that, I end up feeling like YouTube is a failure for me as well, which is unfortunate. Overall, I think the only ways to get bigger on YouTube is to either get a viral video, or receive a shoutout from a larger YouTuber, either of which is extremely difficult to achieve. So in short, I'm right there with you.
Also note that subscriber count is worthless. As someone with over 2,000 subscribers who struggles to break 100 views with a new upload every few days, it's embarrassing.
