''Nice video'' spam comments

Stretch GamingKS

Loving YTtalk
There have been couple of times when I got those set comments before, but today I was talking to one of the people who does that and it really got me mad that even after talking some sense into him he still continues to do his thing, and gets popular because of just posting ''nice video & check my channel'' comments, and not even watch a single video.
Did this ever happen to you? just be mad that someone gets away with such a terrible way of advertising?

Btw, I am very sorry if I haven't been active at all here on YTtalk these couple of months, I think it's time once again to come here and learn some more :P

Now that I think about it, I really hate those comments. One guy used to do that on every single one of my videos on my old channel.
Yeah, I am starting to get those a lot lately. Pff, like they try to fool me that they are actually watching my videos so that I can think of checking their channels too, but nope.

It happens to me all the time! At 1st I was wondering why "Great video." was coming up as a spam from one guy. When I was watching videos in my subscriptions I saw him in the comments saying the exact same thing on a someone else's. Now I know about it, I've been looking out for more of these type of comments. I've noticed a bit of a pattern with him, and I think it's basically a copy and paste job, and he changes what he says every week, or two.

Hi Stretch GamingKS "nice video & check my channel" is a shotgun marketing approach it works due to sheer numbers with a low but consistent return rate of much less than 10% but it does not build up a meaningful relationship and any connection formed by it is weak.

I have found out about this guy that does the copy-paste type of comments on google plus. It shows at what time he posted a comment on a video. He is posting like the same type of comment on every video one minute after another. It shows that he doesn't watch the videos at all.[DOUBLEPOST=1405801676,1405801377][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly. I said this to him that of course it works due to how the internet is filled with sub-hungry people, but I also asked him ''but do you think it will be the same when you grow bigger than what you are? '' :P People would notice at one point even more that he is doing nothing but copy pasting comments like that.
The way I see it, when some people start their own channels it's like one gives a comment like that , the other gives another and so on, end of story. It builds no relationship with the youtuber. It makes it feel like if that set youtuber will not upload anything for quite a while or give up, not that many people will give a damn rat about him, maybe some, but not that many.[DOUBLEPOST=1405801787][/DOUBLEPOST]
I have no problem with "nice video" or "great video" or "cool video" or whatever else someone says along those lines as long as come check out my channel doesn't follow it.
Yeah, the fact that it is also followed by ''can you check my channel? '' is indeed pretty frustrating, I got many comments like this, but I feel so mad that people didn't even watch the video in the first place as well.

"It shows that he doesn't watch the videos at all." That is the exact reason why it frustrated me so much. I've started ignoring those comments now.
