I'm trying to grasp the new rules by youtube for gaming... I just don't understand it...

Can somebody explain this to me?

its not new, but basically in stead of letting it slide, youtube will pretty much take your video down if it has anything they cannot protect you from like "Cutscenes".

All my videos have cutscenes and sound and none of them have been affected? :o How come?

Basically a lot of game footage is being copyright flagged, in most cases its fine because the company will let you but will monitize it for themselves. Thats ok for Lets Plays because they don't really come under fair use because of the huge amounts of footage they use.

If it comes under fair use, you can dispute claims or if game company is ok with letting you record footage then you can dispute and the company will approve it.

The creators may have not registered those visuals with the content ID system yet or they don't mind. Some companies are happy to let people share footage without claims, some are not.

Yay me then! :p I've picked the good games so far it seems xD!

The rules have not changed, but they have just changed the execution of the rules. If it is under fair use, you can still post gameplay as always. (unless otherwise noted by developers). They are just going to review these things now, but the rules have always been in place.
