New Vloggers Never Get Noticed

I'm pretty sure CTFxC also just started vlogging randomly, and they made it somewhat big (1 million subs)

You're also forgetting that he's extremely good looking and over 20 years old. I don't know how old you are, but being young will hurt your view count as well. People over the age of 16 simply don't want to watch kids on the internet.

yea but they are interesting to watch, its not what you described.(lame and boring)

I'm sure they were lame and boring when they first started. Nobody knew who they were. Yet now that they have been doing it for 5 years straight with no breaks, they have become more entertaining.[DOUBLEPOST=1377884619,1377884565][/DOUBLEPOST]
But sitting in front of a camera talking and ranting is vlogging...

A type of vlogging. In this thread I am talking about people who are doing the other type of vlogging.

.... So you wouldn't class me as a vlogger? :)

no they were not, ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL<----i forgot a L, their videos are interesting(maybe not to your interests but certainly to a sub base), they didnt walk around with no purpose.

I should have made it more clear when I wrote this thread, but I am strictly talking about sharing your life. The types of videos you do are about current topics, which is why you are gaining views. :)

That's true, and with that being said, I think it would depend on how exciting your life is. No one really wants to see you eat a hotdog, that's not too entertaining. But what if you had to eat a hotdog, then puke it up into a new hotdog bun, all the while singing opera?

I think it comes down to perspective. A good video doesn't mean guaranteed views and attention, but if the videos are good, when the crowd eventually starts to notice you, the attention will come with it.

Out of topic man, your new banner is really nice. When did you get it?

Gamers can be found because the game they are playing is probably something searched for. Vloggers have no chance of being found.

My friend went from about 100 to about 500 subscribers in 2 months. Honestly, I think you need to promote yourself a bit more. My friend did so by leaving video responses on bigger channels, which people ended up checking him out and that's how they found him and ended up subscribing. Gaming channels are harder to do so than that, any promotion on larger channels is basically self-plugging yourself.

I think vlogging your daily life is a great idea but the most of the time when people are watching people vlog their daily life they're watching successful youtubers. Maybe I'm wrong.

Am I the only one thinking 'who the f**k uploads a video of themselves eating a hotdog'

Seriously it's hard for boring people like that to get noticed vlogging. I could start doing daily vlogs and probably get a fair few views on the title alone in a very easy way. Actually go out and do something, go to events, go to well known places. Last night for instance I could easily have just gone to a number of events going on such as a plan b gig, then I would have named the video PLAN B LIVE AT THE 02 AUGUST 2013. Bing bang bosh everyone searching for videos to re live their night out are gonna come across the video.

Loads of stuff happens at weekends all year around aswell, what in someone's right mind would compel them to make a video about eating a f*****g hotdog unless its meant to be a p**s take.
