New layout = Less views?

We've been on the new layout for nearly 6 weeks. Our views have gone from about 50k per day to around 70k per day with a few days passing the 100k mark-but our sub level has also increased by 20k since we switched over, so that accounts for our increase in views more than anything else.

I took a look at your channel and where views are coming from. It looks like you got a decent percentage of views from Reddit. If you promoted a specific video, then numbers probably didn't change much, but if you promoted your channel, you don't have anything set to auto-play, so that could account for the drop in views.
I think you might of got that huge increase because you were among the first people to get the new layout which people kept of wanting to check you out because "you are the chosen one" and they wanted to see the new layout.

I doubt it. We were never featured as one of the early adopters of the new layout, and none of our fans noticed. We've been doing collaboration projects that usually yield a few thousand new subs in the week they're released, so that's the main reason for our growth spurt.

No I haven't noticed my video view cont dropping . But I find this layout better cause you don't have to refresh the page when you click a new link.
Thanks for the response, I'll have to have a play around and figure out some of the pros of the new layout myself tonight.

Good point, I forgot to factor in that traffic's been coming pretty heavily from Reddit and that the community there might just be fluctuating. I've been doing mostly specific video marketing not channel marketing so I'd expect that the views would go straight to the video. I've got to make myself a banner for the new layout and I intend to get a channel preview up to suit the new non-subscriber channel preview.

am I the only one who started to get more subs and views when I upgraded to the new layout?
Thankfully it doesn't sound like you're alone and it might just be the reddit community letting me down for views on my latest video.

I dunno about you guys but I noticed this too. But I'm new to all of this so it's also entirely possible that I'm just doing something wrong. :/

I haven't noticed any change in subs or viewa however I've only been using the new layout for a few days and hadn't uploaded a video until a few minutes ago so it's probably too soon to tell.

Keep an eye on it and see whether or not there is a difference then and jump back here to let me know if you find anything out of the ordinary (If you don't mind that is)

my views increased a little..
=D Glad to hear

My views are random views from no particular crowd because I only have like 40 subscribers or something, but they have went up lately.
