New Editing Setup

I just love Adobe products and it only feels right using their video editing software too It probably would come naturally to me, I am just lazy with my learning right now and working with what I know.

As long as it works for you that's really all that matters! You are right though, Premiere is good fun to use, Vegas is too but it's a bit too fiddly and prone to crashing for me

I'm getting taught Avid in the first year of uni :s, Avid and a bit of Premiere for the simpler stuff, I like Premiere gotta say, but most big places seem to use Avid..

See I seem to have found the opposite. When I wen't to CNN I was told most places still use FCP 7 but are making the move over to Premiere CC/CS6.

I think it's mainly film that use Avid and TV stays with FCP7 and Premiere Guess it depends which country as well. But I still get taught Avid, Premiere and FCP and get a certificate from Creative Skillset to say I'm trained in all 3 pieces of software which will be very helpful when looking for a job

Film, it's true Avid is mostly film stuff. I can't get how anywhere would still use FCP though, ugh, really can't stand it, I'd rather use iMovie..
