New Editing Setup

Styxie

I Love YTtalk
So I've got a new editing setup! Going to take a bit of time to transition over from Premiere.. So, anyone have any tips for me/tweaks and settings?

On another note, what does everyone use to edit? Before the switch to Avid, I used Premiere, Handbrake, Photoshop and AE for everything :)

I still use Premiere, We get taught Avid in the final year of University so I will eventually make the move there.. but I will probably still use Premiere for everything, even after I change.. I will literally just use Avid so I can get the qualification :')

I'm getting taught Avid in the first year of uni :s, Avid and a bit of Premiere for the simpler stuff, I like Premiere gotta say, but most big places seem to use Avid..

Ive used Premiere for use but have been thinking of doing the switch to Avid. I have heard they are some what similar?

I use Sony Vegas Pro, I really want to learn Premiere properly and some day After Effects but I dont have the time at present so I am sticking to Vegas for the time being.

Main reason Ive stuck with Premiere is because the simplicity of importing PSD's and AEP's around etc. Adobe lover here <3

Vegas is more than solid enough, don't feel like you NEED to upgrade ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1412204183,1412204136][/DOUBLEPOST]

They are a bit similar, haven't tried importing any Adobe docs into Avid, dunno if it would work

I just love Adobe products and it only feels right using their video editing software too :D It probably would come naturally to me, I am just lazy with my learning right now and working with what I know.
