Hi community, my name is Julian and my goal is to make a successful Youtube channel where I will be producing content involving a detailed Top 10 List. I wish to reach out to people and make them think about insane events that have occurred in the past, present, and possible future from around the world. I have been greatly influenced by channels like Mathew Santaro's and wish to go on a similar route but with my own unique dark atmosphere.

I have a few questions to those individuals that make ad revenue with their channels. I am curious as to know how long it takes to start making any kind of revenue? Is there any requirements you must meet with you're channel in order start making money of any kind? Although I will be looking into further details with Youtube itself, I wanted to ask experienced individuals who have already gone this route. I haven't even created my channel yet, I am working on my content as of right now.

I recently purchased a high quality microphone and a halfway decent webcam to get started. I am just looking for any kind of advice, tips, or feedback. Thank you for taking the time to read this post as you're input is very valuable.

Welcome to the forums :) As for how long it will take for you to start earning revenue, it depends! Push great quality content out as often as humanly possible, and maybe you'll have some luck! YouTube isn't a good getrichquick scheme! People can go years trying as hard as possible and never become partners!

Alright i'm going to ramble.

If it's a top 10 channel, watch out for copyright and such, you will have to upload as "media" I think? Please dont quote me, but theres a process you need to take, when taking other peoples clips. Make sure it's widely spread, or doesn't have an official owner and such.

To make revenue it just depends on these factors:
- The more subscribers you have the better average view's per day you will get
- Top 10 videos tend to get a lot of SEO views, so you will probably get more views than the average person at your size.
- let's say you get 100k average views per day, I would assume you would have probably 10-15+ Videos that average 7-8k views per video, per day. You would be looking at making 100$ per day. So 3k dollars a month.

These are just random numbers, hope it helped.

Thank you for you're insight, as for copy righted material, most of my sources come from Wikipedia where I then rewrite every detail of the article I am researching into my own words to avoid any form of plagiarism. I will also post my source of information in the form of links in my description. Thanks again and best of wishes to all you're channels!
