Networks Ruining YouTube?

I'm that's a bit of a loaded title but this is what I mean: Am I the only one that feels as if all the debates and drama regarding partner networks and YouTube is engulfing any last bit of fun or innocence left in YouTubing. I understand there's a business side to YouTube but I do miss the past days of just doing YouTube because you genuinely enjoy it and not because there's a chance you'll become 'internet famous' or make a quick buck. We now have YouTubers ripping off bigger YouTubers, all at a desperate chance at gaining more subscribers.

If I never have to hear about how horrible Fullscreen is or the mess also known as 'AdSense' it will be a happy day.

/Rant.

There will always be something to complain about...and always someone to complain about it. Weather it's networks or not lol :) But yeah, I know what you mean.

Seems like only a very few MCNs actually care anymore :p
The other 95% of them try to exploit their partners one way or another :P

But YouTubers getting paid for what they do also keeps the quality up.
Like a channel isn`t going to spend weeks on a high production video for free when they could get thousands of dollars for producing it for another platform :p

I feel as though it is an "ignorance is bliss" type of ordeal.

Now that you are aware of more things regarding the business side of youtube, you may notice more people trying to make a "quick buck" than you had before, even though those types of people had always been around.

It's kind of like when you start looking for a car to buy. Prior to then, you probably didn't notice many cars on sale, but after you'd likely see a lot more information regarding cars than you had before, simply because you have chosen to take interest in it.

This is why I tend not to visit video game forums. Those forums are often loaded with criticisms about the game that I enjoy, instead of the fun discussion that I had been expecting. And by visiting those forums, I become aware of issues about the game that I probably would have never noticed before, which in turn sort of ruins my experience with the game.
