Network to be noticed?

First of all I apologise if grammar or spelling is a bit iffy, I'm posting from my iPhone.

Now, I've been making videos properly again for a couple of weeks, I'm not big at all, I have a few active subscribers, total subscriber count being 18 which is minuscule in comparison. This is more of a future proof question.

I was wondering on the benefits of joining a network for the main use of getting recognition and being noticed, I thoroughly enjoy making videos and lets plays (I'm a gaming channel) now I know it's a difficult feat in itself being noticed as a gamer, however it's something I've wante to do for a while and so I thought it the best Tim to start again.

Do networks promote you a lot? Or do they leave it to you to promote yourself? Are networks even interested in signing you up for the point of helping you become noticed?

I suppose my point is that I'm not really bothered with making money from it, I mean, I am, but not right now, it would be nice to make this a full time thing, however I'm in it for th fun and to entertain people, money is the leat of my worries for what is essentially my hobby.

So what's the verdict?

Cheers and sorry if its difficult to read :p

Networks will not help you get noticed, but they will provide you resources to help your channel and get noticed (Forums, Audio, Collabs, etc)

So I can basically do everything a network could do for me myself?

The advantage being, that when with a network it's a bit more professional?

Would I be right in thinking that?

Yes. They provide you with the resources and licenses (for games and other stuff [Depends on what network which licences are available]). There might be some networks out there that promote their partners, but don't rely on that for getting partnered.

That's fine.

It's just a pain when you spend 5 hours recording and editing to get 11 views, puts a downer on my day, yet I spend an hour recording a vlog and editing it to get 4x that amount of views

Totally understandable!!! That is the main reason new and beginning YouTubers quit. The ones that succeed are the ones who look past those 11 views, and just do it for the joy of doing it! The views will come eventually! :)

Best of luck to you!

Just keep posting and don't give up!

Indeed, I find it exhilarating recording another video and thinking maybe those 11 viewers will watch this one too :p

P.S. KGATV, we have been watching your channel since you had around 30 subscribers, congratulations on how fast you have improved!

Best of luck to you as well!
Thanks! Yeah It's crazy how fast I've been seeing progress. I'm doing something right! xD
