Nervous while doing commentary on your videos

I made a commentary guide about a week ago here:

I think it will help you. :)

Wow:D a lot of Tips and thank you btw for the link to the thread.
I'm doing live commentary, so most of the time I'm going to be reacting to what's happening in the game.
I also apologize if I don't sound as enthusiast on as I should be on the mic, I will work on that.

Haha, you work on it as you play. As you gain confidence you will start to see you sound less boring and more entertaining. :)

From my experience, there are generally two separate problems that need to be addressed:
  • Struggling to figure out what to say
  • Knowing what to say, but tripping over words
...

Not so long ago I did record some gaming and "commentary" for the first time ever and these are the problems I have what gisikw mentioned. I was way to nervous. It was really awkward to not know what to say. So it was more like a reaction to the game and not a real commentary. I think it's even harder for those who doesn't use english daily and that is not their first language, just like me. But when I watched back them I realized, I'll have to do and push myself and train more to get a better commentary what I like. And this is not going to happen in the next 7-8 days or 1-2 weeks. But aside from all of these problems I was happy with my creations.
:embarrassed:
Because not everybody was born as a comedian. I think.

Its all a matter of repetition baby. Time literally heals and fixes everything. SO just keep going in. FORGET trying to be perfect (have your standards for what's good ofcourse) but you gotta learn to just SHIP THE DAMN PRODUCT. Don't hold on trying to ensure no mistakes were made. NO. FAIL AND MESS UP AS QUICKLY as POSSIBLE. The faster you fail the quicker you will become better. That is the rule is learning a new skill. Peace.

I'm not sure how much this advice will help, buuuut: I'm fairly new with vlogging. I did a few practice ones and showed them to my friend. I figured that if I just addressed that friend in my vlogs, I could end up feeling more comfortable since it's less about me talking to random people through a camera and more just talking with someone I know. It worked though, with each vlog I do I get more and more used to it. It may help to not think of yourself talking to random strangers but instead your friends.

Just go for it if your Video quality is good and your information is good your watchers will see and hear that you actually care about what your doing. And they are the people that will come back for more.

I think you make good videos bit to long for my personal taste but Good
