Need Help - Gaming Channel In Need

Hi Guys, I have been doing for nearly 3 months now and have gotten 178 subs (because Syndicate retweeted my video) but I want to know how to grow.
I have gotten around 4 subs this past week, but that was because I posted on a new forum.
I have tried everything, reddit (Staying away from that, the minecraft community on there is so bad), tumblr, twitter etc.
I write quite long descriptions, with tags that are related, I answer every comment on my videos.
What else can I do? Am I doing something wrong?

I know it takes time to grow, but putting so much effort into my videos then seeing not many views is quite disheartening (as i'm sure you guys have had)

I also want to know from people who are big, what happened? How did you get so many subs? Was it gradually? Did you have the exact same thing?

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys :)

*Sorry about tagging, I just know you guys are the people to ask!*
uberdanger Wreckless Eating Flammy Do you guys have any tricks, (Uber I have read all your guides, great work btw!)

Rome wasn't built in a day. You just gotta play the waiting game and keep doing the things that you're doing and hopefully things will start to pick up.

Dude it seems like your doing everything right, but Kero put the best. Rome was not built in one day, just wait and you might get what you want. As for advice dont settle fot nothing but the best you can do. Dont push out a video until you know that it's the best you could've done.

The only thing i can tell you from my personal experience is be original. I centered my channel around call of duty trickshotting a few years ago and i had a previous channel before my current fuzzmonkeh channel. But back in the day before trickshotting was popular and people knew how to do it, my videos were booming. They were something special, something not many people could do or for that matter seen before. You can take a look, i had thousands of views on my trickshotting montages. People were inspired by me. Unfortunately i've had to take many of my trickshotting montages down because of copyright and when i did that i lost HALF of my total video views. I was 110,000 video views and after i deleted the trickshotting videos i dropped down to 55,000 video views. My point is that the content i was uploading was original and people loved it. But now that everyone can do it, i've become less popular because it's not as special anymore.

So be original come up with something that not many people have done before. Also don't copy off the big youtube channels, that wont help you either. I know this is probably what everyone says, but it's true.

Stay original,
- Monkeh

Thank you very detailed! I'm on phone ATM so I cant write a long response. I have actually gotten the humble indie bundle so maybe some Thomas was alone or something. Thanks for your help! Good luck with your channel!

In 3 months, I had 30 subscribers. And today I have 101, so I would say, for 3 months, you're doing pretty damn good.

4 Subs this week? You're getting subscribers the right way, you're posting on forums, a bit of networking/self promotion. (As long as it isn't spam)

Growth is exponential, as many on here have compared it to a snowball effect, just look at the time it took you to reach your first 100 subscribers and then look at the time it took you to reach the next one, was is shorter? If so, you're growing! Of course it's slow because you just started.

Well, I have nothing to compare with as it was a sudden jump from 30 or so to 170 :/ But Thanks!
