Need Computer advice! Upgrade or build from scratch?

I've Got It
Hey guys, I need help deciding on whether to upgrade my current computer or just make a custom build. What I want to do with my computer is be able to game on high graphic settings and run like 60 fps and be able to stream my gameplay smoothly. I'll list my specs below. If my specs really aren't that good, I'm willing to make a custom gaming pc. I'm willing to look into builds that are up to $2000 max. Thanks for any help in advance!

Processor: Intel(R)Core(TM)i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.39GHz
8GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 530

Im pretty sure with 2k, you can get away with getting a very powerful PC. Hell with what you have now id kill have :)

I am not one to give advice on that..sorry...hehe...but I did move this thread to the Video Editing, Recording Software and Hardware section of the forum.

You need to list all your other parts, but you dont need to build from scratch, CPU is perfect, Ram is perfect, Graphics Card is Crap for gaming. So list your other components, but you will need to upgrade your Graphics Card to either GTX 780 or GTX 770 considering your budget.

What else should I list? Sorry, just woke up from a nap and kinda groggy :P

No prob, well your case, motherboard, ram type and speed, power supply, hard drive, CPU cooler. You will definitely need to upgrade your Graphics Card, but depending on the other parts you might to need one or two others as well.

Upgrade the video card and buy a 16GB RAM kit. If you have that as a processor, then the board, PSU etc are all fine.

If your case is big enough then just upgrade some parts :)

If your mother board can handle some ram try bump it up to 16 GB but 8 should be good

By those specs alone I would suggest just upgrading your video card. One thing to remember is that the GTX 600 & 700 series cards don't really support CUDA rendering like the previous generations did. You can still render pretty well with just your CPU, but if you plan to render and upload a lot of video to youtube I suggest you stay with the 500 series. Maybe even go SLI with dual 580's or something.
