Need a pocket recorder/Mic

My current camera has no external mic hookup so I need a pocket recording mic, I want to be able to plug other mics into it to capture audio and it saves to the device. I also want it to have a built in mic for when I am not using the other mic. Hopefully under 70$
 
ROFLMAO. I saw the title and was rushing to post "Ib4 Blue Snowball".

I need a microphone that I can record the sounds of whales underwater in the ocean, any ideas? "You need a Blue snowball mate"

People really need to learn about gear before suggesting gear. The snowball is a terrible microphone.

For the OP, my best recommendation is something you may or may not have the cash to spend on. The Zoom H4N has great audio quality for a portable recorder.

Alternatively, you could look for something that would connect to a smart phone. Tascam makes some, as does Zoom and Rode. You can even get XLR to Iphone type connectors which gives you a nice wide range of mics to choose from.
