Nearly two weeks and basically 0 progress

Hey there fellow YouTubers,

I've been going on for nearly two weeks now. I know that is only a very short amount of time, but I have "already" posted 13 videos. So I'm doing a video for each day now.

But I've been quite disappointed in the way my channel has been growing, given how it has not grown at all. Yes, I am at 10 subscribers but those don't seem to care about my videos at all. And yes, I'm also at 174 views or so, but a lot of those are actually me checking if everything is still functioning (I should stop doing that).

I have a long road ahead of me and I will definitely keep making videos. I know that one day there should be some interest in my channel. Besides that, I have set no goals in numbers for myself. So it's a little hard for me to measure my progress. But I figured I would have a little more traffic going on two weeks into it.

Is this normal? Should I have made more progress? Are my videos so bad or something? Any tips or tricks that might help me and others who read this?

Thank you for your time and help.

Greetings, ProjectJamesify

2 weeks is nothing and 10 subscribers is nothing to sneeze at. Channel wide (I have 3 videos uploaded) I have around 900 views (most with the last video at nearly 600) and 14 subs so your not doing bad at all.
Daily uploads seems a bit much. Try slowing uploads and working on quality. Keep in mind gaming is saturated on a galactic level so have patience.

It took me a year and a half to get where I'm here now, just saying.

Ouch...

It's normal to get little views and subscribers when you start out.

Alright well at least that makes me feel a little better :D

Alright thank you very much! I learned my lesson...

What this guy said, especially about galactic part.

That galactic part though...

Thank you all for your replies! I will be more patient... :)

It took me 2 months to get to 10 subs, 6 months to get to 50 subscribers, now I am at 9 months and I have 229. You can see that it goes faster in time. The start is long, that's just a fact you'll have to live with :) Good luck with your channel though!!

Your energy is great! Keep that going :D

As for gaining subscribers... I think there are more gaming channels than there are vlogs on YouTube, and there are an ISHT tone of vlogs. With such a huge pool for people to choose from, it's going to be a lot harder for your to gain a real fan base, ESPECIALLY so soon into doing this. Give it time, and remember to promote yourself. If you don't know much about promotion on social media, I highly suggest checking out some videos from Video Creators and Savvy Sexy Social

One thing I would like to point out is the length of your videos. Of 13, you have 7 videos that are more than 10 minutes long. It's totally ok to keep them long! I love a long video :) But a general rule is to try to keep them on the shorter side. Most people get bored and click away, and I would suspect that to be especially so in the world of video games where people would probably be more interested in playing the game for 10 minutes themselves than to watch someone make commentary for 10 minutes.

Other than that, my best suggestion to you is to hurry up and wait. Give it time, give it effort, and let the wonders of the internet bring you traffic.

I feel like to many people are looking for instant gratification. Especially with gaming. 10 subscribers is great for two weeks. Just keep up what you're doing and focus on quality.

Your doing great already! Only tip I'd give you is not to upload each and every day, but maybe every two days. Since your subscriberbase is still small, you're actually overwhelming them with a video each day. It's blowing on a fire to give it O2, but actually putting it out since you're blowing too hard. Get what I mean?

Further, I've been going for a year, and I only have 73 subs and just over 4000 channelwide views. Since I have a juggling channel, progress on subs is slower than it is on views as some tutorials have 500+ views, while normal videos only hit 100 views after two weeks of being online. It's a process that I'll have to get through, so that's why I'm thinking of starting another weekly/bi-weekly series in which I vlog a bit more, but still focussing on Juggling.

So keep up the good work! Maybe put less videos on your channel tho :)
