My video

That was random, actually in a first week i upload the Animal lover playlist video's i was just like this:depressed2: , but around 15 hour ago i just open it up and see 600 views and then 2000 and then 6000 like this then one of my friends said just search your video on Youtube and see who shared it, suprisely i found it there. :p
Craziness!

I think it will be under Fair use law, but i am not really sure about it, hope it just be fine.
I have one video that can't be monetized and I had to get permission to post. I had to contact the NHL to get permission to post my footage of a pre-game warmup where the Phoenix Coyotes captain did a slapshot that knocked my camera out of my hands. They gave me permission and said it would have to be for "non commercial use only", which means no ads, and I couldn't sell it. The reason is because their team logo is trademarked and a bunch of other details, but the NHL legal attorney did say I could use it non commercially. That's too bad, GoPro wanted to buy that video to use for a commercial, but I couldn't because of the statement from the NHL. Here's a fair use article

I saw your video just now, did you get hurt? That was so bad, the NHL should not do that to you, that is unfair :(

The main point of that last post is that I had to get permission even though it was my own footage. I've taken a few business law classes and have seen enough copyright and trademark conversations to know that it is something I should not just post and risk legal action over. There was enough brand names all over and pro athlete footage that I didn't think I had complete rights to post publicly, so I got permission from their attorneys. You can likely get a copyright strike on your video, especially if it's monetized since none of that is your footage... The only way I can see that not violating any rights is to get permission from each individual whose video is featured in your video in writing. Just saying....[DOUBLEPOST=1400877389,1400877085][/DOUBLEPOST]

No my GoPro was pressed against the plexiglass, I had my head turned to talk to my buddy next to me so it scared the s**t out of me. It hit the plexiglass so hard the shock through the glass knocked the camera down.

What are you saying is bad and unfair?

I mean the hit was bad, and in my idea The NHL should give you permission.

How do you know they don't have licenses for the videos?

The hit wasn't bad, I had plexiglass between my camera and the puck. As far as permission to commercially use that video, it's not my choice. They are a legal entity and business, so they have rules that people have to be bound to. Do some more research on licensing, trademark, fair use, copyrights, etc. It's a lot more complicated than you may think. I'm not sure what the case is with your video as there are no big businesses or brands involved, but it is still not your original footage being used.[DOUBLEPOST=1400880039][/DOUBLEPOST]
Ok, ok I made mistake if I remove the video from my YouTube is ok?
I just made a thread and now just answering you.
I can't force you to take it down... for all I know you may have rights. It's something to be careful about though using other people's footage, normally if you just ask "hey can I use this in a compilation?", and they say yes, I see no problem with it. Just do some research on it. When people have featured my videos on TV before, they strictly asked, "Do you have full rights to this video? Are those your dogs? May we use it on our show?" or something along those lines.
