My first banner...Need reviews/constructive criticism

Hey guys, make a note this is my first banner i have ever made. What do you guys think. I always hate my own work xD i dont know if it seems to crowded or whatever :) obviously ive had the grid lines on so i know where to put everything so hopefully it will fit. Thanks guys :)

The banner is a decent attempt for a first timer, but here's a few criticisms:

  • Try to keep a colour scheme, i.e using the same 2/3 colours for everything you do.
  • Try to keep it symmetrical, maybe have the character image on the outside of each side and the xbox/psn logo on the inside. If that makes sense.
  • If you're centering everything, try to keep everything aligned more and outline stuff to make it stand out :)

Hey, The banner overall looks pretty decent for the channel. I think you could improve on the choice of fonts and the colours you use. Using Black colour text in a dark background will be difficult for you. It looks good and always can do better! :D
 
Thanks guys. The colours are definitely my downfall :) I never know what to choose. Ill keep looking around till I find a great font :)
