this is my youtube- youtube.com/totallyrandommgirls. i dont get lots of comments, likes, or anything. do you have any tips, and will you check out my channel?

People are much more likely to post a comment when there are already other comments on the video or something to talk about. If there's two of you working on your channel, each of you could use separate personal accounts to post or get your friends to say something on it. People also post "fake" comments on their own videos all the time to get the conversation started.

Interesting thread. Here's some recent examples of my viewers randomness:

For my channel i got about 20 new subs on the weekend. Not a single one of them commented on anything. I guess they subbed because something caught their eye and they basically just want to keep a watch over whats happening.

I had a good back and forth conversation with one guy, he was asking questions and we had a discussion... but he didn't sub.

A month ago i got 1 random question from another guy, i replied within an hour and he never subbed or came back. Then on the weekend he responded to my reply, subbed immediately and commented on other videos. Took him a month to get rolling.

Who knows why people do the things they do?

There is no real sense of 'community' on my channel, and I've been happy with that in the very beginning because it meant i wasn't letting anyone down if i made a poor video. However now i have honed my technique and it continues to improve, and I'm starting to want to drive more conversations and discussions. I'm not sure of the best way to do yet but i haven't tried yet. If i find anything useful I'll post here on ytt.

Hey Idalina! I'm currently trying stuff out with comments. i usually just post "first!" to get the first post out of the way. Most viewers are shy if they are the first one to post a comment.
