Microphone Trouble- All Help Appreciated!

Hey everybody, I recently got a new microphone, a Razer Kraken Pro Neon headset, for gaming videos. When using this headset with an Avermedia II recorder with my PS4, it sounds absolutely wonderful. However, when I use the headset to record on my PC, my voice sounds like a robotic, filtered mess, sometimes unintelligible. I've tried it with multiple screen recorders, all of them having the same result. What is the problem here, and is there a way to fix it? Thank you so much!

Have you tried just recording some voice samples using Audacity as the previous poster mentioned?

Input volume is too high. Right click on the little speaker down by the time on your windows task bar. Choose Recording and find the headset mic. Turn it down to about 50% and try recording again.

I'm also not sure if the Razer drivers have a volume option, so check those too. It just sounds like your audio is clipping, nothing more.
