okay my feelings are not "hurt" i just find you incredibly rude there is a difference. I hate vlogs I will tell you that right now however I have managed to not insult a single person here yet. Go figure.

hehe its fine. I can be very blunt so as you can see I can lack tact as well. In any event thanks. I did read it but I decided since the can of worms was opened to finish what was started hehe. I fully consider myself a professional in what I do hehe... But the point is, even if I were a full on professional I would still be here because this community is awesome, helpful, kind and sexy...

Hehe its fine. The only negative in my video was the voice and I can't do much about that I sound like i have something in my mouth but i have always been like that. I even did speech therapy when i was a kid for it. Its just the way it is. Technically though there was nothing wrong with the video camera, lighting blah blah blah were all fine. Its an animated short using a piece of technology which is basically a game engine and that engine is getting a bit old now it was created in about 2006. Its showing its age. On the other hand not many game engines allow lip movement of the character and this one is not that bad. It also allows finger movements (fbx as apposed to bvh animations) so its more advanced then a lot of them. It still is stiff especially when the characters are sitting and being animated. Its more natural when they are not glued to chairs but again I can't do anything about that lol.

so the one strike against it was that the voice could have been a bit better but its a one minute short and I like to use my own voice or text to speech. In the end though it was not as terrible as all that lol. I have won competitions so I know my stuff is not bad. Real competitions where people judge you on things like camera, lighting etc etc not just subjective ones. I am about to do a 48 hour marathon one for machinima. Your given a subject line and a character and have 48 hours to produce a 3 minute short. Its hard work but it can be fun. I dont have a million dollar holywood budget though I am just an amateur machinimist who tries to make things looks as good as possible using puppets and animations in 3d space. Its not easy. So here is my vlog dig and take it with a grain of salt since we are on the subject. I spent about 8 hours animating and making that 1 minute short. If I had done it vlog style it would have been done and uploaded in 20 minutes *runs*

One thing I DID gain was some 90's nostalgia, it reminded me of like the early versions of The Sims, and I love the sims hahaha so what I originally said was a bad thing, may indeed be gooooood...

So here is my vlog dig and take it with a grain of salt since we are on the subject. I spent about 8 hours animating and making that 1 minute short. If I had done it vlog style it would have been done and uploaded in 20 minutes *runs*

It took me 5 hours to tape todays Vlog, 750mb worth to upload on a connection that makes it take around 3 hours to upload not to mention the 1 hour it takes to edit and fine tune what I can... I of course do it the "professional" way with a Canon 60D at full quality... Do I love the sound of my own voice? Hell Yea HAHA.... I think that is one of the things all we YouTubers have in common

My point is... your 8 hours of making that 1 minute... Bravo!... get a new microphone hehe

yeah the mic wont help its my mouth for lack of a better way of saying it, but now you know what I *could* be like if I chose to because I dislike vlogs I was simply trying to make a point but you know that. Its easy to say what is on your mind. Its VERY hard to say something critical and do it with tact, but it can be done. Its sometimes better to not say anything then something. I spend a lot of time "not saying anything" in a lot of situations haha, but as you can see I am not shy and not afraid to open my keyboard. In any event my next short will be using another engine (the idea of the shorts is to well first they are very short) but I try not to use the same form of animation twice in a row. Sometimes its cartoons, sometimes something else etc. The next one will be done using an engine called "state" its not bad and I dont think i have done one with that engine yet.

it came in second in a consequences of sound machinima contest for the band I fight dragons. The constest was to create an official music video using machinima for the group's song "working" which was a very difficult song to do ..

Anyhow cheers. You might like this one better but its still what it is which is machinima
