Making friends

I find that it's very difficult to make friends on YouTube. On my personal channel, I would ask to be friends with people who shared interests with me, but they'd never respond. I don't know, man.

From what I have heard from people people way more more business on YT these days which is sad when back in the day it was for fun. I think a balance is the best idea.

I've started using this forum 2 years ago and I've met with great people. I still chat with one of them occasionally. Other than being able to meet with people you have common interests, they're usually very eager to help too. I remember one guy even offered me to make music for my channel back in the day. :)

I met a bunch of people on these forums around 3-4 years ago, but all of them quit Youtube and I stopped talking to them...ever since then I've been struggling to find really any youtube friends lmao

I know that feeling! Personally, I like to make friends on YouTube, but I've never really been a collab guy myself. I think the content I make right now best suits just me, as I do commentaries and tutorials on how to do simple things on your computer etc... It's not that I'd never do a collab at all, but I think at least for me, I just like forming friendships that support each other in other ways. It's a difficult thing to explain really, I guess I'm just awkward! lol

I suck at making friends, online or in real life.
I need a lot of time to get to know someone.
feel free to hit me up then I dont mind that :)[DOUBLEPOST=1511911867,1511911827][/DOUBLEPOST]

I had the same issue, apart from the buddies I made all did gaming and got tired of getting nowhere so they started completely different content

Hey all. So this is possibly in the wrong place, not sure. But I was wondering if anyone out there has difficulty making youtube friends? It seems like so many people are just straight to business with making collabs but I like getting to know other youtubers and making a friendship that can lead to collabs down the line. But most people just seem to shrug that off and ignore you. It kinda sucks : /

I have a few people I got good conversations with. But that is only because I have met them outside of YouTube. I don't actively seek people out. I just come across them and comment on their stuff. They don't ignore you by the way, they simply don't have the time to reply to everyone. I am still in the position that I can reply to everyone, but there is a point that it becomes impossible.

I don't even have friends IRL, lol. But in all seriousness, I've found that connecting with people on Twitter seems to be easy enough, it's so quick and easy to use that people don't mind chatting back and forth with you. I'm still new though, so take it with a pound of salt
