magic sub number

I've Got It
what is the number of subscribers you guys think a person would need before they actively start thinking about partnership options. I am far from it I'm sure but I am curious.

I don't think it's subscriber number, but how many views you get a day. I've read SO MUCH about this before joining RPM (Of course not with the channel I use now) and so many people said, you shouldn't consider sub number but views. Like, idk, 100 views a day? I also read stuff with people say ooh 1k 2k is good enough

thats interesting. So like 2k views is good or 2k subscribers. How was your experience with RPM on your old channel?

Better than many people had said. The support was kinda slow for me (But then again, I have no patience at all). The forums were amazing, people were really nice and they didn't bash me for doing stupid stuff (even though I have a negative reputation there lol) I've never been paid, so I don't really know about that. But I joined to grow my channel, not to make money, so yeah. And we got free music, I've downloaded so many :P And you have a chance of being featured on their official channel (each vid gets around 1000-2000 views, however people will bash your videos so be aware of that)
What people don't understand is that joining a network isn't instant youtube fame and money. Growing your channel is a slow and hard process. Networks don't give you instant fame, they give you tools that you can utilize to grow your channel. Read your contract and save a copy (and read youtube's terms of service and all that jazz. I broke it by accident before) I learned all of this the hard way... (AND IT SUCKED.)

It actually is a lot about sub number. When you start to look at larger direct branding deals, most advertisers won't even consider a channel with less than 100k subscribers, even if you get a lot of views per month. The 100k subscriber mark opens up a lot of doors and makes you more attractive to advertisers, which gives you a lot of bargaining power with networks.

Ive spoken to a lot of bigger youtubers and they have all said to wait untill around 100k when looking to partner etc. At that size you will actually be seen as a respectable and profitable channel to them. It gives you so much more power and so much more to work with.

lol whoops, forgot about that. But most of us have relatively small channels. I think views are important first for us.
