Lowering watchtime to increase uploads? is it worth it?

I agree completely, upload once everyday or once every two days is a good goal.

Good luck and great channel mate, hoefully I'll get there someday.

if you can do a regular schedule definitely do it! :D good luck to you!

Tough decision there.

I'd probably go with the short ones for faster uploads and then make a compilation of them for a long video. Most channels do that now, I think, to get them sweet watchtime~

But I've also seen some animation channels make videos of "behind the scenes"/"rough sketch sneak preview"/etc to get more videos up and leave the final product as long as it needs be.

I'm not much help lol. Just wanted to say good luck. ^^

Why you don't? Don't worry about the length of your video if it short, for me consistency of uploaded really do a great job to gain more viewers

Your videos are great and have a lot of views because of that, but you have an extrem potential for subs (2kk+)..
If you do more shorter videos more people will subscribe to you because they got your videos recommended two times in a month or so.
You don´t upload very often, and 3 month where you upload pre-produced content on fixed dates regulary could get you into the sub range where it will be your main source of income -> more uploads in the future.
You have a fanbase, extremly high views and extraordinary quality of content, so i don´t think shorter videos will hurt you in the long term - you might make less money in the short term, but i think thats really unlikely as only vids longer than 10 min get the bonus ad money. Go for it and become a Youtube Star !

yeah being on the main page of my subs youtube recommendations is probably going to help a lot, and stop people from forgetting about my channel as much, thank you so much for the kind words by the way![DOUBLEPOST=1480100634,1480100598][/DOUBLEPOST]
Moved to the strat / technique forum. :)
thank you :) i post here so often i forget there's other forum pages lol

I feel that for your sub base, they'll follow you regardless what you do. But as for new subs I think they me more inclined to click on a shorter "new" (to them) video and stick around through the whole thing.

So just go for it, even if it doesn't work out at least you'd know to move to a different route.

Like some folks have been saying these shorter more frequent videos have the chance to draw in new viewers more often and its something to hold your subs over inbetween the longer videos! I think its a great idea.
