Losing Subs

Nope. Still trying to track down a human at YouTube through my business connections. It's affecting both my channels now so I'm just opting not to monetize until I get this sorted.
 
Have you checked your Analytics? In the Engagement section, there's a link for Subscribers data. What does yours show for Closed Accounts? I lost 62.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but since OP brought it up, what exactly is the whole "cleaning house" thing? Does YouTube just periodically get rid of inactive accounts or something?

(Can you tell I'm new? :P)

It could be when YouTube determines that an account is a spam account or is used for sub-for-sub scams. Have you ever seen a channel that had no videos yet hundreds of subs? yeah, bogus account.
 
It may be that in the Youtube cleanup you got screwed a bit. I had to resubscribe to someone that I was subscribed to for a little while and I know I didn't unsubscribe to her. Maybe you will get them back...?
 
I've only lost about one recently. My subs have been going up, which I am glad since I try to produce quality content.
 
I went from 130 down to 125 couple weeks ago, it was devastating! Now I've been stuck at 125 for over a week now :/
