Looking for a External Hard drive

I'm looking for a USB 3.0 External hard drive 4 TB. I tend to have bad luck finding good externals that don't just up and stop working a few months after purchasing them. So I thought I would see if anyone could recommend a good one for a decent price?

My personal recommendation is Western Digital My Passport external hard drive. If you're looking those up just don't run into the old s****y big box types lol those are old models. They're actually quality brand for drives and yeah comes with 3.0 USB speed.

Sadly the last one I bought was a passport, 3 weeks then it stopped reading the drive.

I use Seagate Backup Plus 3TB and it works perfectly, very fast, and is dead silent.

i went on ebay read reviews, watched some on youtube, bought 2TB passport off ebay. works like a charm. been over a year. feeling like buying another 2TB idk yet

What I use is a USB drive sled. Best Buy has them for about $40. You can take internal hard drives slide them in like an old Super Nintendo cartridge. It will allow you put in any 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives. Buying internal drives are a lot cheaper than buying the external equivalent. I mainly use mine for storing backups and I swap hard drives all the time.
