Posting Mad!
So, my saga continues. I used video from someone else with permission and I get put under the magnifying glass at YT. I have to now prove that EVERY image, video, music, and sound was legally used in one of my videos. I am very careful to use only content that is in the public domain but now the burden of proof is on me. I don't mind that YouTube is vigilant in trying to stop people from pirating others work, but notice one of the conditions below; provide the LICENSE AGREEMENT for the SOFTWARE used in creating any video or music. I am going to need a freaking lawyer. So here is the question, if I just unmonitize this video, will they leave me alone?

Here is what they sent me:
This email is regarding the monetization of your video "Tsar Bomba- The Effects of a Nuclear Bomb Part 4". We need to verify that you are authorized to commercially use all of the visual and audio elements in your video such as:

Visuals:
  • Images, video games, or software visuals licensed for commercial use require a copy of a license agreement, or a link to the terms
  • Original visuals from third parties require written permission from the rights owner(s) stating that you are permitted to use their content commercially containing the video’s URL
  • For visuals in the public domain, please link us to a primary (original or scholarly) source proving this
Audio:
  • Royalty-free music requires: the song title, artist name, a direct link to the track, and a link to the terms
  • If you are the artist, please provide us with your name, song title, the composer/publisher, and music label (whether you own or not)
  • Music you created using software or other music requires that you identify the program used and its terms
  • Original compositions from third parties require written permission from the rights’ owner(s) stating that you are permitted to use their content commercially containing the video’s URL
  • For a musical composition in the public domain, please link us to a primary (original or scholarly) source demonstrating the status of the composition
Please submit your additional information here. Note that your video may not be monetized if we do not hear from you within 14 days.

YouTube reserves the right to make the final decision whether to monetize a video, and partners who repeatedly submit ineligible videos may lose the ability to monetize.

Thanks,

The YouTube Team

I do think that is automated, I had a claim on one of my videos and I replied back that "everything was in the public domain or royalty free" and they left me alone.

It is an automated email but the burden of proof is on me. They ask for written permission for third party video with a link to the video included in the permission. I have written permission for using the video but it doesn't include the link. I asked someone who was nice enough to let me use their video and now I have to ask them to write another email with the link included?

Normally they will only do it too you once, and once you prove everything is yours they will leave you alone for the most part.

Yeah, but I use lots of public domain stuff in my videos. What happens if a news reel or image isn't actually CC0 and someone else posted and claimed that it was?

Can't you just add the link yourself? It's not that hard to edit an email..

They've done it to me as well on my Skyblock series.
It was in dispute of Kevin MacLeod's music which makes no bloody sense.
