[locked] YouTube Glitch & Algorithm Change

been dropping views for a while now, but can't tell if its just the natural drop after an upload does its rounds, or the algorithm is causing some of it too.
glitch or natural.jpg

Definitely a drop in related video traffic too, which for a slow uploading channel, is pretty devastating.
youtube is about 70% my livelihood too. got to rely on my side job a lot this christmas, which is a shame, why couldn't they do the algorithm shifts in January, when we get low views anyway instead of messing up the high christmas traffic time?
oh well. :P

I've seen views on some videos go down, while others have gone up. Overall, very little difference tbh.

Huh I thought it was weird how one day 90% of my suggested video traffic was gone. Well at least it might not be my fault that makes me feel better! =]

YouTube Algorithm Change
Maybe some of you know about this, but a couple weeks ago I was told about a rumor of an algorithm change. It turns out to be true and people who took advantage of the system are now decreasing in views at an alarming rate. Also people who got a lot of their views off recommended videos are losing a lot of views too. FuturisticHub was the first to say this and recently Jesse Wellens (PrankvsPrank and BFVSGF) has recently confirmed this with the person that writes the algorithm for YouTube.
Now that I have reaaallyy looked at my analytics. Views from home seems to have dropped. Everything else seems pretty normal (like suggested, searches, etc) only views from "home" has a significant drop for me (within the last 2 weeks). :(

YouTube has denied that there has been any change but everybody has analytics and we can see how are 'suggested video' percentage has declined.

As for losing subs after an upload, I wonder if YouTube wasn't showing all channels in the subscription feed and when the viewer actually seen the channel in their feed, they decided to unsubscribe.

For my channel, as @FamilyToyReview stated for his channel, suggested is almost exclusively coming from my own video, with one exception there is 1 video that is on another big channel. Previously there were more of my videos on suggested spots.

If I was going to hazard a guess, it seems that suggested have been tweaked, with a preference now to have your own videos driving more of suggested traffic inside your channel. The rationale would be, if a viewer came to my channel, let's keep him on my channel as long as possible, as opposed to sending them somewhere else.

Here is some proof:

But I think this algorithm change worked for my benefit since I've been gaining lots more subscribers and views than I usually do this past week haha

Same. This month I've had like 1.75x as many views as last month, including record setting days like 24k views in one day. Any recent changes seem to have affected me in a positive manner.

I feel like this algorithm change was like 1.5 months ago by the way. Around this time a couple of my videos suddenly dropped from the first page of search to the 4th or 5th pages. Playing around with the video titles to change them to something better resulted in them getting their previous rankings back (and in fact ranking higher than before) - so if any of your videos seem to have plummeted, perhaps a quick metadata cleanup (title/tags/description) will fix your ranking.

Although my views has gone up, it has declined in Recommended Videos on the homepage. I've been getting less views from the homepage than I did when I had half the amount of subs.
