Livestreaming with Subscribers

I was recently thinking about doing a livestream with subscribers just to build more of a "close-ness" and it shows personality with my channel. Obviously it wouldn't be a lot of people and I would probably animate during, and maybe a bit of a q-n-a (something to have in the background whilst theyre doing whatever).

Would anyone else recommend doing a live stream, or should I build up more of an audience first?

which would be better, 500 subscribers or 1000?

Any mark you think that you can do, if 500 is big for you then 500, if 1000 then 1000 whatever popularity base you have at the moment base it of off.
