Or another one, we dont do it anymore, is to go on a big follow 4 follow page follow it and you will get followers becuase people will think you will follow back and just keep un following and following the big twitter profile

Just because you get a lot of followers doesn't mean it's going to help you. I've seen people here on the forums who has 8,000+ followers (obviously does f4f) and barely pushes 10-15 views per video.

How do you interact with people who don't know you exist? honestly i just see this as a way to get people to check you out so relationships can be built later.

By @-replying to their own tweets. Or sharing out their videos, etc. Twitter, like YouTube, isn't anywhere near as effective when people try to game it.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if you favorite some random person's tweets, it can force them to check out your twitter page and then check out your channel. I know because it i fell for it like 3 times, pretty neat idea though. You see that they Favorited your tweet then (you're all like cool who's this) click there name and then you see there YouTube link and click it!

I wondered why I was getting random accounts follow me....unfortunately for them I just think "yay, another follower" and keep on with my day. They usually unfollow within a couple of weeks if they have no interest in me anyway.

I used to use Twitter for marketing some of my websites. It's a great tool for free advertising if done right. Idk if they have them anymore but I used Twitter programs that mass followed and unfollowed people. What I'd do is set it to follow all the people that are following a certain username. The person I'd choose would obviously be someone who I targeted based on the website I was promoting. It works like a charm until Twitter eventually bans your account.

I don't even know why but I've always had like 3,000 followers on twitter just for tweeting every day funny storys, s**t happens to me all the time. That's like my personal account, my account for youtube only has like 1,000 though.
