Linking adsense later, where does the money go?

So I was thinking of linking youtube with an adsense account to earn the money, but I thought it would be a bit too much effort for now, because my channel isn't that big yet :P

My question is: If I want to link youtube with an adsense account later on and I already have like 100,000 views, will I get the money for the views afterwords, therfore at the time I link to adsense, or will the views stay unpaid, although I turned video monetization on?

I'm just curious because if I won't get the money, there would be no reason to monetize my videos for now...
 
You're not necessarily paid per view, your paid depending on the Ads adsense places on the video. Forget anything you achieved prior, if people watch the ads etc once they're placed... you will then make some money.

Thx, yeah I know that it depends ;)
So that meany if I monetize my videos now without beeing linked to an adsense account, I will get the money as soon as I link to one? That was my actual question :P
 
I suggest if you get a good amount of views you might want to link them. Your videos earn money based on the ads that display before your videos. My channel is small and it's already making a few cents. :D

Yeah, but can't I link my adsense account later and for now just wait until it pays out?^^
 
No, you won't get money from past videos that have had advertisements. You can enable ads without an Adsense account, but you won't earn anything until you have an Adsense account linked to your channel.

Another question, I didn't want to open a new thread^^:
The terms say, that I have to be at least 18. Do you think it is a big problem to use the same google account but with the parent's permission, although I'm 16?^^ I mean, @Gabriel, you're not 18 too, obviously, did you create an adsense account?
