Link To Twitter in Annotation

If you have a wordpress site you can use a plugin called "Pretty Links" to redirect custom URLs to anywhere. Keep in mind, redirecting like this with annotations is technically against YouTube's terms of service. However, many big youtubers do it and nothing seems to happen. If you're just linking to your other profiles like twitter, facebook, intstagram, etc, then probably you're ok. Just be aware there is a small risk.

As far as I know very big channel indeed have the option to directly link to their social media accounts.

No, YouTube only forbids automatic redirects from your homepage to a different one. It's fine when viewers have to click manually.
