Lighting advice needed...

hey guys,

need some high intensity lighting, studio grade.
Me and my buddy are starting back up a channel called brobeans, but want it to full standards
best lighting and cameras and set all the whole shabang.
I have no clue in what lighting is needed, the format will be like a group sit down vlog/webcast
i have been looking at set ups that seem more relevant for professional photography, would they be ok or am I looking in the wrong place?

The only advice I can give is 3 lights. Left, right and centre (or so I've read, to give an even light). As to what brand I have no idea sorry :(
 
Experiment.
Min 3 lights - I think you have the left and right at 30 degree angles, and one in the centre slightly higher up.

Audio is important - have decent mics.

Also consider a chroma key green screen background?

I'm not really sure about this, so I think I'll ask my dad and get back to you later. he's into photography, haha. Is that your real profile picture btw?

I agree with the others, 3 lights will be the best! I would suggest putting a softbox on them. I am in the works of making my own. I hate the lighting I have.
 
cheers everyone! so 3 lights and experiment, i think ill start with a soft lighting box set up and see if that works!

Why do so many people forget a backlight. You need light on the back of your shoulders the separate yourself from your background, otherwise it will look crappy.

Preferably directly from behind, but I know that's not always an option since you don't want the lights in your shot. If you have the option to hang a light on the ceiling somehow then do that and aim it down 45 degrees at most. If that's not an option then yes, from the sides will have to do.
