Just reached 250,000 views. Should I be worried?

I've Got It
Don't get me wrong I'm very happy to have reached 250,000 views but I just reached another milestone last week of 200 subscribers and I've notice a lot of people's ratios of subs / views are a lot higher. Is it just the type of content I produce. Most of my views (over 200,000) are from one video and I didn't have much of a channel when that went big, a lot of those views were on websites. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the videos :) I went and check out your channel and have subscribed to you as well. I love chocolate too :thumbsup2:. Look forward to more of your art.

I subscribed as well, I love cat videos! I think it's probably because of the type of video it is. I watched it, and it's like a video I would see shared all over facebook, but then you would watch it and like it and then go back to scrolling. It would probably get tons of likes and such on facebook, but people wouldn't necessarily think to sign in to their youtube account to subscribe. If they were watched more while people were signed in to their accounts, I'm sure you would have lots more! Keep it up, maybe put like Subscribe to My Channel or something when you post videos, so people will think hey, I better go sign in and subscribe!

It's the type of video. For me I don't really subscribe to animal channels, for me those kinds of videos are watched once and move on, normally when I see them via Twitter/Facebook/Tumblr/9gag. Only animal type channel I'm subscribed to is Animalist. Try utilising annotations more, before the video has hit the outro, your type of channel is more likely to attract people who are less YouTube savvy and some might not even know that subscribing is possible. You could even try embeded call to actions, like having actual text pop up about 3/4 of the way through a video saying "If you enjoy the video, subscribe for more" it might not help much but it's worth a try as long as it's not intrusive, but I think your viewers would mention if it was or not. That way if annotations don't show up for some reason at lease the call to action will.

So many cat videos!! Yes!!! haha :) I subscribed :) I can't help with the question though since I'm really new...
Thankyou for the support I checked out your channel and love the baby giggles. Say hello to Beni for me :) and you kitties :cat2:

Thanks for the feedback and Support. I've been trying with videos on Facebook but think I need more followers. Just signed up to Twitter so am still experimenting there. I've never really put like and subscribe to youtube in the post so I might start doing that and see how that goes.

Thanks for the info and I believe there are a lot of people out there that wouldn't subscribe to an animal channel. But after just joining twitter I'm overwhelmed with how may cat twitter accounts there are. I joined on the 26th of September and I already have 110 followers. Not really sure if that's good but it took me about a year on youtube to get 150 subscribers. Perhaps my channel needs to be more concerned with the social media market than the Youtube market. I'll also look into seeing if I can ad in some more call to actions. Thanks Heaps.

Tumblr is also a good place if you want to post cat pics or maybe screenshots from your video or short <10 sec cat vids. Posts circulate really well on Tumblr especially if you have a good following which can be amassed by just following people lol But a lot of people like cats anywhere you post them really xD

Ok thanks for that info. It's something i'll look at in the future once I've worked out how to manage posting to 3 I'll ad an extra one. I see you have all 4 how often do you post on them?

Facebook, Twitter and Google+ I post my videos on as soon as they're released. I also use Twitter as my main social media site to post random thoughts along with Tumblr where I normally reblog, post pictures I find funny or very rarely actually blog, on occasion I will post my videos there too but I post a picture and have my video in a link in the text, as I've noticed people tend to avoid videos there for some reason. But that's due to the genre of my channel.
