I've Got It
Feels like yesterday I wrote about my first subscriber. Well, now I'm on 11 :-) Feels cool.

Due to life with small children and parental leave, I'm highly limited in content creation and having on my 20 videos (or so) on my channel. Only have one more in the pipeline and then I'm a bit screwed :) But I'm playing the Instagram algorithms and driving traffic to my channel from there. I think I'll have to have some "conversation videos" instead of hiking videos soon.

Thanks guys! For me right now It's all about driving traffic to the account and hope for subscribers if they like the content.

The content I have is pretty bad if you ask me - but I'm getting better) so right now the conversion rate (visits -> subscribers) is pretty bad I think. But I think that if I continue to drive traffic while creating more (and better) content, I'll grow. It's all about doing the hard work. :)

For the ones curious - I'm driving traffic right now by playing the Instagram algorithms, getting followers there (around 230 now after almost 2 weeks) and every new follower gets a welcome message and referring to the channel for the ones that like the content on Instagram to see me "in action" on Youtube.

For the ones _really_curious_ the Instagram account is @gediphotoart

Now I'm at 25! :) I'm still driving traffic from Instagram and I also made a trailer that gave me additional subscribers. The pressure is on I might be a bit optimistic, but maybe 100 subscribers before 2020 is over isn't impossible, but that assumes that the growth rate is exponential and not linear.. I decided to fill a gap in photography channels focusing mostly on inspiration for creating art. Now to figure out what that means.. :D

Please let me know if I'm too "chatty", I think I'm trying to share my experiences from this journey as a completely new (Youtuber) in a saturated (photography channels) market.

Yes!! Good job on the growth and strategy. I've honestly been slacking on getting my channel exposure and trying to reconfigure how I do videos myself. In the grand scheme of things, don't focus too much on the numbers or the conversion from visits to subs. Important is the audience retention for each video! So have fun and create quality content. I'll check out your channel in a bit :D

Congrats, man! I got my first 13 too. It's kinda fun to NOT have any subscribers. There's no pressure, no expectations, it's like a ghost town. You can do as you please.
