ya but developers channels are 1000x times better because we give away free games and sneak peaks. gaming channels do nothing but play games that try to get money from it.

I'm just curious but why are there SO MANY gaming channels?
I think at least 1/3 of the channels I've seen on here are gaming channels! How come they're so popular?

Gaming has been a hobby of mine for...forever, since I was a little kid. Tie that with my love for graphic design, video editing, and acting like an idiot I thought it was only natural to jump in
I have so much fun playing games and if I can put a smile on someone's face while doing it, bonus.
I have to disagree with you. ANY type of video could be made with zero or maximum effort. What you just said could be applied to vlogs, tutorials and any other category on youtube for that matter.
Playing the game is the shortest part of the whole process. I put extra effort into my videos with effects, titles, cutscenes and I like to spend time on actual cutting and editing. Hell, one game I wanted to make a video of had absolutely no sound so I added every sound effect to make it more interesting.
There are of course many gamers out there that have a very simple videos where its just straight forward but you might as well go the extra mile if you're gonna make a video.
So for some of us, no, it's not really easy

Wo wo cowboy, do you realise how much youtubers promote games that YOU the developer have made?
By shamelessly trying to plug your own channel you have slated the very people who would promote your game (for free I might add) by making a video of it.
But I guess we're all in it for the money...

not everyone plays our games they only play the top-ranking games/new cool games. you dont even know what your talking about

I don't play the "top-ranking games" for my channel, I mainly focus on indie titles
