Just a reminder.

I Love YTtalk
In the local news i have heard of a 16 yrs old boy that falled from about 60 meters high just for a cool selfie. I wanted to learn more so i googled it. So many results was brought up with similar cases worldwide.
Ok just another post. It will not help you grow your channel it will not get you more subscribers and of course it will not make a difference in the ocean of posts here or the web.
It is just a reminder. Your life will always be more important than any picture video or whatever think that will amaze others.
:)

This is so true I couldn’t of said better myself. Everyone is so obsessed with wanting to look cool on social media they don’t realize how much they are putting themselves at risk. I’m 22 and I can tell you it’s really hard to make friends with people because everyone is so obsessed with their phones no one wants to communicate and guys my age don’t like to date anymore. Everyone one prefers to be on their phones

that's crazy! I don't get that at all. I just watch a YouTube video today on wingsuit flying and most of the people they were showing on the video had how long they lived while they were flying. That was really creepy and scary. I love adrenaline sports myself as I used to race mountain bikes but now it seems to have gone too far.

To be honest, I think these people are total idiots and knob jockeys. I’ll never understood the appeal of risking your life just to be popular on social media. I’ll take the path of less views, less subscribers etc. but still being alive any day, thank you very much.

Sometimes it’s just better to let these things work themselves out naturally.
Are you refering to Candice's comment on dating or to the selfies trend?
:)

Just people underestimating their powers or danger itself. Motive is the strongest will. They might be strong minds that fall victims of this new age of self expose. If you remember older times tv had this role of breaking shocking of live feed. Now anyone can broadcast a suicidal or just criminal act. I think there are also some facebook video cases of this kind...

I was once trying of looking cool and great to people, until I realized they have to discover it by themselves. My opinion is I don't have to show myself to anyone. They either like me, or they don't :)

Im glad I didnt have social media / YouTube ets as a kid. I could just be a kid doing kid things. Out on my bike / skates / playing football etc.
I will try to keep my own kids away from it for as long as I can but I guess all their friends will be doing it so dont want them to be left out either.

Good advice.

A while ago, I read a news story (and saw the video) about a guy who thought it would be a good idea to film hilmself doing 5 pull-ups from a ledge of the top of a skyscraper. He managed to do them very well without falling off. Then when he decided he'd finished, he tried to pull himself back up from the ledge but didn't have any more strength to do so. I'm sure you can imagine the ending. Well he got what he wanted. Lots of fame and views, but now he's dead.
