Happens to me too. It even happens to famous artists. I have heard interviews were the artist is really excited about a couple songs and then some of the songs they didn't think twice on would be on the radio non stop. It's interesting how that works.
 
Almost every time. The videos with the most views on my channel I didn't think would do well at all lol. I decided to just have my topics prepared and go with my natural flow, and that's been my best strategy
