Is youtube streaming good for beginners?

Hello, I've been streaming quite a bit on twitch lately and it was great I have 24 followers there now, but just recently I've found out about youtube streaming. I'm considering streaming there, but how does youtube handle new streamers? I ask this question because it's super hard to get exposure on twitch and maybe youtube is the way to go.

It's not really much difference in terms of a technical setup. And from what I've seen they do list the live streams by view count, much like Twitch.

I know of a YouTuber who was on this site and used YouTube Gaming. he did very well, but that could also be because he had at least 200 subscribers when he started to stream and they were very active. I say try it, I mean why not?!

Youtube gaming isn't very big right now, so I say get on the bandwagon and try it out before it becomes extremely saturated. That is what I would do if I had the upload speeds to make quality content
