No I doubt it will close down.. Perhaps something new will come as is the case in most places.. Blockbuster lead to Net Flix which lead to Redbox and the saga continues.. I mean Myspace is still around and yet we have Facebook. The fact that Google owns YouTube tells me it isn't going anywhere.

Yes, Once the Zombie apocalypse happens youtube will see a huge surge in content being uploaded. This will be followed by a long period of inactivity.
