Is this a real thing?

So in the solitude of my second job I came up with a theory. Something I like to call:
The Summer Effect
So i'm to assume that during the summer, when the little kiddies aren't in there classes and the lazy adults take a semester break from classes, that traffic to YouTube increases. I'm not assuming it's a substantial difference, but a mildly noticeable one. Now with the increased traffic comes increased views to videos. With those assumptions in mind, is there a phenomena that happens, where there is a higher chance for views and subscriptions due to the increase in traffic to YouTube?

first off cuz science. second i can confirm this as when i was a teenager i did the same thing. during the summer months i was either playing call of duty or on youtube

Opposite in my opinion.
In the summer, whether there is school or not, the days are longer. Hence more people are out playing with friends, socialising, etc. Hence the reason why console and games sales also seem to drop during the summer.

In the winter, the days are shorter. School kids are not allowed to be out so late. The days are cold, so going outside to the park or socialising also fall, since people dont want to go out in the cold. They stay in more, hence go onto the Internet more or play consle games etc. Hence console and game sales tend to increase during the winter, as does online activity.

Also many peope get laptops etc for Xmas = more people only during Jan/Feb. More people uploading videos on YouTube about their presents and new toys/gadgets etc = more overall activity on YouTube.

You sir...make a very stable counter argument. The only thing I have can say back is that my theory isn't, in any way, based on the activity of posting on YouTube. The theory revolves around the activity of searching and viewing of videos.

In which case, my dear friend, I will add that my theory not only covers posting of videos, but also viewing of videos.
Summer - people are out socialising, in the park, on holiday = less time for browsing videos on the net.
Winter - shorter days, people are indoors rather then freezing their bits off outside, hence more likely to search for and view videos.....

I'm a moderator on a popular gaming forum, and we generally see a lot less activity in the summer months, but much higher activity in the winter months. I thinks the same would relate to searching for and watching YouTube vids.

This is just my theory. I could well be wrong........but I doubt it....... Lol
