Is This A Good Idea?

I've Got It
I have two questions for this idea I've had.
The idea is that I'm going to record me building a custom map for Minecraft. The thing that will make it different from other custom map creation videos, is that I'll ask at the end of the video 'what shall I put in next?' It can differ from next type of building to a certain story part or even to what trap shall I make.
So the first question is…
Is this a good idea?
Secondly…
If so, how do I make the viewers decide what to pick? Like shall I ask for likes and dislikes to decide? Or top commenter? Or perhaps only I comment and the viewers like which idea I've commented about?

Thanks in advance!

I like the idea! It gives people without the technical know-how the ability to shape a map they want to play on. And ask them to post in comments

I like the idea, its innovative. and creative, damn I wish I had something like that lol.

Somethings I would consider though, the progress will be halted if people do not vote enough or engage enough with the video. It is reliant that the community gives back, if it does then its a great system. Second, if you're going to go through with this try a poll on another website, or just go through the comments and find out which is the most popular choice. The thing is, people may vote for something more extravagant and it turns out that everyone wants something different and it makes it difficult to choose what exactly is going to happen.

One way that you can set up the voting is by making two more videos after the minecraft one,
and at the end of the minecraft video, put up two annotations, each linking to either of the two videos.
You can use the number of views on these separate videos to judge what you should do next.
(basically, have annotations at the end to vote) ((You can remove these other videos later))

Preliminary warning - I know very little about minecraft. :p

For your own sake, I would suggest limiting the options.

While playing, I would ask closed questions. For example if you just built something, ask "Do you guys think I should keep this here, or destroy it? Post what you think in the comments!" "What do you guys think, should I create a monument of Chuck Norris here or Psy? Let me know in the comments!" "Do you guys want me to continue doing ____? Let me know!"

And then at the end ask for suggestions. But don't place so great an importance that you're restricted creatively or bound by something you may not agree with. Also, you wont be left with the problem of waiting for a sufficient reply.

So long as you're satisfying the little things your series is still interactive, but you're safeguarding yourself where things could potentially get complex.

I hope that somehow helps. I tried. :P
