Is It Wise to Post Your Videos On Reddit?

Welp, the title says it all. Is it wise to post your youtube videos on Reddit in an attempt to get more people to see it? Or would that just result in a lot of trolls coming to your channel?

People have had a lot of different experiences with Reddit.

In general their bad and thet get disliked a lot. However, if someone else posts your video like "hey guys check this out it's really fun". It tends to sky rocket.

Make sure you post in the sub reddit (if available) on your topic.

I recently posted a single video questioning people about a new game. I manged to get 30 views in around 1-2 days from Reddit. This video is now the most viewed video on my YouTube lol.

I have only just started tho and still need to improve my channel ALOT.

It is smart to post your videos on as many social networking sites as possible. If it allows you to post it can't hurt!

Reddit is one of the best sites to share your youtube videos, and if it gets popular there, your views will skyrocket. The best way is to post your video to a related subreddit. I've managed to get alot of views through Reddit. The audience retention tends to hurt sharing my videos to Reddit though.

By subreddit, you mean, for instance, gaming, right?

Reddit is a dangerous place, It can go very well, also very poorly. Post in the wrong place, bam everyone dislikes you and you never do well on reddit ever again. Alternatively, you can get some serious feedback from people. I post my Tekkit series there, and get a good amount of my views from people who leave awesome feed back but that's not always the case. if you post ANYTHING on Reddit, make sure its 100% something you are proud of, not something half assed and think its going to do well.

That's just my thought on posting on reddit.

Also, you're 1 in 100 000 other videos being posted, so if you think Reddit is going to drastically give you views on your channel, you're wrong.

He means like for example there are sub reddits such as /r/letsplay /r/aww etc etc, HOWEVER before posting anything, read all the rules and make sure you are posting in the right place to optimize your views etc. I used Reddit for a whole before I posted anything on it. I got to know how it got to work, and fell in love with the site for what it is, and not just a site to post a link and forget about it. Imagine it as another Yttalk, cept everyone there are buttholes and dont give a poopshoot about you. or your video.

Ahh Reddit, how i love/hate thee.
