Is it true that girl gamers get more recognition?

It even worked in this thread, you put the word GIRL in the title it gets 2 pages in no time and lot's of views. Long story short, sex sells, not literally but girl gamers will wear nice outfits to attract viewership.

It is a fact, indeed. Girl YouTubers do get a lot of recognition faster than males but the most popular gamers are all male. Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye are examples of those. I noticed that after the millionth subscribers, the girl youtubers' growth slows down[DOUBLEPOST=1477810716,1477810445][/DOUBLEPOST]

I've never heard of her, honestly. It's kind of sad that she has to use her physical attributes just to gather attention. I saw a lot of girl gamers like that on twitch, too.
 
I AGREE WITH THAT POINT. Many beautiful girl gamers that aren't professional in gaming get away with the subs because of their beauty. The professional guy gamers are still struggling. Sad truth though.

I guess it's all about the looks, then. I think their looks really is the only thing that makes people watch them especially if their content is as boring as you described them to be.
 
They get loads more attention in my opinion. There are just lots of horney 12 year old boys on youtube I guess who think clicking subscribing will get them a girlfriend. At the same time I feel sorry for the girls who make good videos but don't show loads flesh just to get attention, and just experience slow growth
 
At first they do , they may appeal to all the "thirsty losers" or MAYBE they do appeal to actual people who like them and their gameplay - I'd say yes at the first they have a way easier time but look at all top 5 YouTube Gamers, they are all guys

That's what I thought, too. Just the mere presence of a girl in a gameplay video is enough for some people to watch that video

I honestly never thought of that :D This question is something that's been bothering me for awhile now. I do agree with that.
