Posting Mad!
It even worked in this thread, you put the word GIRL in the title it gets 2 pages in no time and lot's of views. Long story short, sex sells, not literally but girl gamers will wear nice outfits to attract viewership.
It is a fact, indeed. Girl YouTubers do get a lot of recognition faster than males but the most popular gamers are all male. Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye are examples of those. I noticed that after the millionth subscribers, the girl youtubers' growth slows down[DOUBLEPOST=1477810716,1477810445][/DOUBLEPOST]Eventhough the girl YouTubers get a lot of recoginition, all the most subbed and popular youtubers are male!
Not trying to be a sexist but that is the fact
I've never heard of her, honestly. It's kind of sad that she has to use her physical attributes just to gather attention. I saw a lot of girl gamers like that on twitch, too.To an extend, zoie burgher is a great example. She's very open with her physical attributes and uses her body to sell sexual appeal to her audience and I'm not saying this is wrong because she can do what she likes. If people want to watch her then fair enough. Anyway, sex sells and so does personality. If a woman is showing herself in her videos then she'll probably garner more attention. I honestly think the same is true for guys also.
That's true. I find that an attractive person garners a lot of attention but it's honestly their personality which makes people want to watch more of them.[DOUBLEPOST=1477820371,1477820025][/DOUBLEPOST]From what I've seen from being on YouTube for a while, yes it does help them grow. However, it doesn't make them the biggest or most popular YouTubers. Recently, a certain YouTuber has been using her body to gain attention and subs. I won't go into further detail, but because of this she has grown quickly in a short period of time. The thing is it's quite controversial for someone to use YouTube in that manner and many people look down on it. The female YouTubers that I'm subbed to all have a personality and don't "advertise" their bodies. In the end, I find that if you are comfortable with your looks and upload videos with you in them people will watch them more often. Think about it. If you see an attractive person upload a video you will want to watch it. There's nothing wrong with that, but what keeps me watching that video is whether that person is entertaining or not. If they are toxic and disrespectful I won't watch their videos. On the other hand, if they are kind, honest and fair then I will watch and support their videos.
I guess it's all about the looks, then. I think their looks really is the only thing that makes people watch them especially if their content is as boring as you described them to be.You get girls who play games coming through here every so often excited for 500 or 1000 or 2000 subs in a few months. Yet most of them seem unaware that if they were an ugly man, their boring 30 minute play throughs would be getting 25 views tops
That's what I thought, too. Just the mere presence of a girl in a gameplay video is enough for some people to watch that videoI honestly feel like they do. Sometimes people arent even watching the video for the game, some people are just watching it because of the cute girl haha.
I honestly never thought of thatIt even worked in this thread, you put the word GIRL in the title it gets 2 pages in no time and lot's of views. Long story short, sex sells, not literally but girl gamers will wear nice outfits to attract viewership.
This question is something that's been bothering me for awhile now. I do agree with that.
