Is Google Adwords FREE?

I do apologize if this topic has already been covered.

I have been searching everywhere and I cant seem to solve this little problem.

I was wondering if the platform Google Adwords Keyword Planner is free to use or if you have to pay in order to use it?

I tried signing up for Google Adwords however, it seems to be more of a system where Google generates ads on your website/blog and when someone clicks on those ads you pay Google a certain amount from your own pocket?

I just want to use the Adwords Keyword Planner to rank my videos.

Google Adwords is essentially used to set your advertisement in google by running an ads campaign. However, the "Keyword Planner" tool is free to use. You need to open Google Adwords by using your google account then open the Keyword Planner.

I will give it a go and see what I can come up with. I think I kinda figured it out though.

Yep, if you open an AdWords account you can use Keywords Planner without having to pay.

Another tool I can recommend is semrush, the basic version is free to use and no account required. What's cool about tools like semrush is that they also give you a keyword difficulty (KD) score. What this means is that you can see how easy or hard it would be to rank high for a particular keyword.

Thank you! I will certainly give it a try. I kinda figured the whole Google Keywords Planner thing out.
