Hi Welcome to the forums :)

I will recommend you Sony Vegas or After Effects.
Both are professional softwares but you have to pay to get them (you know what I mean :P )

Sony Vegas is good if you are after really simple intros, or you can take the next step up and get fancy with After Effects.

It's really up to you :) But, they are your best options.

i use After Effects CS6 and i would definitely recommend it, just watch some tutorials and you'll get the hang of it. once you know the basics just mess around with effects and stuff until you come up with something that looks good. but you can also just download templates from intro video samples and change the text :p but remember not to overdo it because i've seen plenty of intros, montages and whatnot that are just plain rubbish. get some feedback before you post it also.

EDIT: had i look at your channel, nice videos dude. Subbed.

Honestly in my opinion, intros are much to overrated theres no point to make someone sit there for 10 secs watching something the don't really give a crape about? (just my opinion)

Would have recommended after effects but its a little complicated if you are just starting out on video editing. So that leaves us with one and my favorite. Sony Vegas pro. pretty damn easy and there's a lot of free templates out there. So Vegas pro is the way to go.

Note: There's a lot of tutorials on how to make intros with sony vegas on youtube.

Hope this has helped[DOUBLEPOST=1366209302,1366209053][/DOUBLEPOST]

You think? Someone might just subscribe to you just because your intro is so cool and they are impressed by it. So Don't underestimate the power of intros

You'll find that a lot of "overrated" things work. A lot of people do them because they work. Now, personally, my intros are:
  • Peter - 2 seconds
  • PlayWithPeter - 3 seconds
  • PeterHeads - no intro (channel is for people who just want to talk)
I think a full-blown 10 second intro is probably a bad thing, as (on average) the first 15 seconds of the video are used to decide whether the rest of it is worthwhile. But if you can do a good intro in 5 seconds or under, I think it's worth your time. If you don't do branding things, people can easily walk away from your video after watching it, even liking it, and having no idea who made it or that you make other ones.

yes you have to "Pay" for them *Wink* *Wink* *Cough!* PirateBay.se *Cough!*

Cinema 4D, Sony Vegas or Adobe After effects seem to be the more popular ones for intros. You can search up some templates, or you can request it off a Graphics Designer, but some may charge however. :)
