While I like the idea of also using a second or third video platform so that if one of them ever goes downhill my audience can still find my videos etc - I've yet to find a place I'd actually want to put my videos.
Facebook videos I'm not a fan of, and in my opinion it just doesn't really cater to the kind of content I make.
Vid.me feels really clunky right now. I can't even figure out how to search for videos on the site. When I search it just displays users. If I can't even figure out how to search on the site then I can't see myself using the site - and if I couldn't see myself using the site, I don't think I'd put my videos there either.
On the plus side, the lack of a similar alternative gives me more confidence that YouTube isn't going anywhere any time soon.
