I've watched mine a few times, but mostly just to check for mistakes. Y'know, so I can make notice on how many times I say, "like, and, uhh.." and work on not saying those words anymore haha.

I only really watch my own videos after they've been uploaded, to make there's no problems with it or anything.

I used to watch them a few times after I uploaded them and I'd cringe at myself. >_< I'd also check to see like, if it was even watchable. I'll definitely do the same thing again when/if I make videos, because I love cringing at myself, it's fun.

We totally do. Probably once every month or two, we go back and watch at least all the songs we made. Even the older ones with the lower quality instrumentation and off-key vocals. We find ourselves endlessly entertaining, ha ha...

i probably would, if not for the fact that I literally cannot watch myself.
im a bit of a perfectionist, so if i start to watch my videos I'll notice EVERY thing i think i did wrong where others probably wouldnt even notice

when editing I have to edit quickly and throw it on youtube before I hate it too much for not being as perfect as I saw it in my mind. which leads to them being lower quality than they could be. because if I was able to either get them the way I saw them, or at least marginally closer they could look a lot better.

so no. i dont watch my videos because i hate them (but i love making them. weird)

I do often go back and view most, if not all of my videos just because I like to see how much i have changed over the past, what, 20 videos? (which is like, a year and a half because of deleted and missed videos.. Yes i suck at keeping track to upload ok sue me ;p) I also like to see what kind of lightin worked best in some videos ect.. and some times just to laugh at my stupid little jokes lmao

Ah yes, the best part of editing... when you get stuck on that one part that makes you cringe, and it takes about 20 replays to get it right... I can imagine it must be great to look back and see how far you've come, all you've accomplished. And I would imagine it probably helps to find recurring flaws that you might not have seen until you put them all together and found a pattern. What do you enjoy most? Recording them or editing them? Considering how you said you slap it together to avoid getting over the top, I'm going to guess you like recording most ;P Have you ever considered having someone else edit?
Also, on the note of being a perfectionist and uncontrollably pushing the big shiny red delete button when you get frustrated enough; have you ever tried just breathing and saying "There's no way to perfect it." and then letting it go? It sounds far-fetched -_- but as someone with a number of "uncontrollable" mental disorders, that has helped me a number of times. It's not perfect. It doesn't always work! You have to be your own best friend, and what better way to be friends with yourself than to be YouTube friends ^u^ Watch yourself just as you would any other user Be your own biggest fan ^u^ And then when you have a huge fan base and random people run up to you going, "OMG, I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!" Don't stress too much on the schedule or keeping track Just enjoy what you do and make amazing content! ^u^ Or not! You could always upload "junk" too. One YouTuber's trash is another YouTuber's bounteous gag real ^u^

the worst bit is, I love editing. Theres nothing really more satisfying than getting a 20min video down to 3 minutes of useable material.
Its just something i need to deal with. the delete button wont fix everything, if its something small enough I'll let it go, otherwise I think I'd go insane
