I have some questions about networks.

I've seen a couple posts over the last couple of days with people asking whether they should join this network, or what are the perks of that network etc etc. My biggest questions are, how do you even go about getting in with a network? What are the best for smaller youtubers? What sort of benefits can you expect? Are there any minimum guidelines before you'll be considered? (over 200 subs, for example)

Any one have any answers?

You can expect free music tools on your dashboard.
To get with a network go to their official website and find something that says partner with us or similar. You will go through allowing the network check if you are eligible to join the network. There are some scam networks so be careful.
Also ''minimum guidelines'' are called requirements and it should clearly state the requirements somewhere on the website.
Good luck!

You can apply to most networks via their websites.

What are the best for smaller youtubers?

It all depends on what you want from them, have a look over the contract and see what they have on offer and if that suits your needs then you could sign, a partnership should always be about yours and your channels needs and the services the network offers in return for X percent of your revenue per month.

What sort of benefits can you expect?

Networks have different benefits but many offer access to an audio library from audiomicro.com, graphics design services, statistic and SEO type tools such as Fullscreen's Channelyzer although I am pretty sure thats open to non partners.

When it comes to promotion most wont offer promotion as in proper advertising for your channel to get it out there.

Are there any minimum guidelines before you'll be considered? (over 200 subs, for example)

Some have requirements, many dont. We have a thread with requirements listed here:

Michael pretty much summed it up perfectly, different networks have different tools on their dashboard, some networks have near to no tools, whether these tools will help grow your channel or not its a different discussion, you and you only are going to make your channel succeed, networks shouldnt have to go out to promote your channel, but as long as they provide you the support you need on a timed basis then you are fine. Just be sure to read over their contract, a lot of people think WOAH im not reading this much, but please do then you cannot get ****** over in the future.
